FATPD Airsoft Night in San Ysisdro July 11th and 12th 2009
Game Date: Saturday July 11th 2009
Start Time 6:00 P.M.
End Time 6:00 A.M. Sunday July 12th Registration Opens 2:00PM, at ABZ in Fairchild July 11th.
The San Ysisdro, California border patrol has been tipped off about the routes a vicious gang has been using to smuggle drugs from Tijuana into San Ysisdro nightly. An unidentified source told us "Arrest is Imminent", we have set up several command post in strategic locations along the border and agents are stepping up night patrols in the target area. Our aim is to catch both the smugglers and the gun dealers who are making millions of dollars trading weapons for this junk.
Will the US Border Patrol ever be able to stop these thugs? Be there for "Airsoft Night in San Ysisdro". Game Schedule: 5:30 P.M. Briefing
Game Start-
6:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. Phase One, The Score!
An informant has let Tijuana officials know that a big drug operation is going down tonight. The smugglers have just three hours to locate the product and get it ready for tonight’s operation. Mexican authorities have given the U.S. border patrol limited authority to come across the border to Tijuana and stop the drugs before they reach the U.S. 20 Points
9:00 P.M. - 10:30 P.M. Break
10:30 P.M. 1:30- Phase Two, Night Moves!
The smugglers must now get across the border with as much product as they have stashed from phase one. 20 Points
1:30 A.M-3:00 A.M. Break
3:00 A.M.-6:00 A.M. Final Phase, Gun Runners!
Now to get the guns back to Tijuana before daybreak. 40 Points
This game will be an all night airsoft game and is being run in place of the Star Wars game Jedi had scheduled.

Hey Jason, assuming I would have a practical and functioning gun by this game, would I be able to use a night vision goggle set? It's produced as a toy for children but works well enough. I planned on reinforcing the weak spots with lexan, although there's only one place a bb could penetrate (which I will cover). If you'd like you can have a look at them. They're full seal and I would likely only use them when I'm stationary as to not run into any trees or pot holes. Let me know what you think.

I was at a store and they were on clearance for $30. They look rediculous but work surprisingly well.

Jason, I'll be coming down with a new gun. It's gonna be shooting too hot (400+) and I want to detune it a bit especially with Freefall coming up. Do you have any M120 or M110 springs at the field?

Brass, no clothing or mag restrictions. No necessary numbers on each team, and there is no cost for the game.

I will be out at the field around 2 pm. I will bring tools and parts along for anyone needing to tune up or tweak out guns. 90,100,110,120,130,140,150 and even a few 160% springs. C you there!

I plan on being there at 2 or as early as possible on Saturday. Jason, could you bring one of those lovely AGM CQB rifles (cranestock freefloat ras ergo grip etc) to the field. I have my Echo 1 M4 (shoots amazingly now) and $100+ monies to trade you for it if you're interested. If not I could go into debt and work it off/pay it off gradually. I'm desperate to play in this game, so it'd be awesome if I had a skirmishable weapon by then (Echo m4 needs a battery bag or good cranestock battery). Thanks much Jason. If you're not into an m4 that needs a battery setup I'd love to OC or film or something.

I will be showing up with at least 1 other person. and the side doesn't matter to me. whichever has the least number of people which I am guessing will be the smugglers, though i will be wearing ACU

Biscuit, I think we can work something out. Brass you may want something a bit darker colored for a smuggler...ACU may stand out pretty good when hit with a spotlight.
As for the field set up, the border and bases will change with each three hour phase.Phase One: The Score...Smugglers will need to collect as many packets of "Product" as possible in 3 hours and return them to the smugglers base (Sattelite Dish)...Once smugglers have crossed the lower swamp road they are untouchable....If shot or caught before crossing the border smugglers will be arrested and must be escorted by a border patrol guard to sit in the San Ysisdro jail for 10 minutes. The border patrol if hit, must display kill rags and immediately return to base and report to the field hospital for 5 minutes. For each 10 kilos of product the smuggler team "packages" for shipment they will be awarded 1 packet of "Bribe Money" If a border patrol agent is shot and the smugglers present him with "bribe money" The player must switch sides for the remainder of the phase. Phase Two:Night Moves! The smuggler team will begin at the trailers and must deliver product to the smugglers base (sattelite dish) the border patrol may stop anyone who crosses the upper road from the tower base to the start of the road past the shed. If the border patrol is within 15 feet of you and says "Halt" you must stop and speak with them. Border patrol agent may only stop one player at a time, Example; 5 smugglers in group, 3 border patrol team stop them, only 3 of the smugglers may be halted and or searched. If they say "Search" You must hand over any product you are carrying. If you have no product on you, the border patrol guard who searched you will be reprimanded for "profiling" and must return to base for 5 minutes. If you are busted you must go to jail for 5 minutes and lose your product. If the border patrol confiscates 10 kilos of product, the team will be awarded a grant for a new spotlight. Anytime smugglers are shot they must be escorted to jail by a border patrol guard and can return to phase in 5 minutes. Phase Three:Gun Runners The smugglers must get the guns from the base to Tijuana without getting caught. For each large crate of arms the dealers deliver they are awarded 1 "bribe money" to be used as described above, however the border patrol is issued 1 "snitch money" for each large crate they capture. When a smuggler is shot and presented with snitch money they must switch teams for the remainder of the phase. Both airsoft teams will have a 5 minute respawn penalty in San Ysisdro for this phase.

Brass, why so worried about how many people are showing up, and what side they're going to be on? I know people who are showing up who aren't even on these boards. We don't usually pick sides until the briefing. Jedi's game just had special roles.

ok thanks and I just wanted to get an idea of how many people were already planning on being there because i have people that might want to come but want to make sure that there will be people for it. and another question, are flashlights required or anything like that?

We have not hosted a strictly night airsoft game before so I do not know what the turn out for the game will be. So far looks like around 20 confirmed. Flashlights will be handy but not required. I will provide chemical lightsticks to use as kill rags. I plan on operating as a smuggler. Judkins, Its done, Will bring it along, Safety pin and bolt were misaligned.

Well I've got a PMC looking loadout together (the khakis and a black light jacket) as well as my regular woodlands, so I can smuggle drugs or annoy the crap out of the Reapers, whatever is required.

Soklein, if you don't mind me asking, any idea what team you guys will be rolling on? Also Reapers, I can see that the teams are getting a little stacked in Smuggler favor, so if you find you want the numbers a little more even I can always bring a flight suit or PMC clothes and run on your team for a game or two. Up to you of course.
